Even before NFT's meteoric rise initiated by the $69M Beeple sale in March 2021, linking the non-fungibility characteristic of the technology to trading cards/collectibles made intuitive sense. Any rare collectible's value equals its authenticity, so it makes sense that the decentralized technology that can guarantee the product's originality and ownership instantly surfaced as a potential alternative to physical trading cards.
While Dapper Labs' NBA Top Shot became a multi-billion dollar project in 2021, global sports IPs paid close attention. As a result, many sports leagues have and are still launching their own sports NFT platforms, each leveraging its respective IP and community.
Sportium's ELVN is one of the said projects. The Sportium team owns and leverages IP rights of the K-League, the division 1 football league of Korea, and arguably one of the top leagues when it comes to Asia football. ELVN is a DApp that the Sportium team is developing to provide the platform that will offer the users various features.
ELVN's basic feature lets users purchase card packs that contain cards of random rarity. Each card is composed of the highlight clip, player stats and the details about the highlight. After the users own these Moments NFTs, they're able to trade them on the Sportium Marketplace. This basic feature and user experience are similar to other sports collectibles NFT services such as NBA Top Shot.
Ultimately, we would like to offer the sports fans a multi-faceted fan platform where they can earn, enjoy and collaborate.
Trabzonspor is a Turkish Division 1 football team that's about to win the SΓΌper Lig Championship for the first time in 38 years. Via the partnership with the club's broker Capital Block, the Sportium team is currently developing a series of celebratory NFT collections that will be opened to public along with the end of the season in May 2022.
This collaboration is a prime example of Sportium's business model. With Trabzonspor's IPs including player autographs and player jerseys, our team is building NFT products from the scratch. Our full-stack workforce provides front/back-end and contract engineering, product design which involves 3D modeling, UI/UX design of the NFT minting landing page, and community management/marketing utilizing our extensive crypto/blockchain network.
As a company striving to become a web3.0 organization, we fully support global sports IPs who are attempting to enter the world of NFTs. On top of that, we're capable and willing to provide any means of services that are required to expedite the process. In doing so, we're envisioning Sportium to ultimately become the interconnecting entity that can liaison global sports NFT projects.
